On February 2nd, the Valkiria Hub Space in Barcelona became the epicenter of a day dedicated to animal welfare, attracting nearly 50 attendees including professionals and prominent figures in the veterinary field. Moderated by Carlos Rodríguez, known for leading the Spanish Radio Show “Como el Perro y El Gato” on Onda Cero Station, the event fostered a modern and relaxed atmosphere where animal welfare was at the heart of all discussions.

With the presence of experts such as Sandra Casado, María Suárez, Margarita López, and Neus Candela, the symposium delved into how interdisciplinary collaboration is fundamental to advancing animal health care. From the application of photobiomodulation therapies with K-Laser to innovative practices in internal medicine, speakers shared their experiences and knowledge about the positive impact of these technologies on the recovery and welfare of animals.

Moreover, the event not only focused on the physical health of patients but also on the importance of mental health and the well-being of veterinarians themselves. INDIBA, through Sabina Medina, offered relaxation and meditation sessions, emphasizing the relevance of connection with the present and self-care in this demanding professional field.

The closing of the encounter was characterized by an atmosphere of camaraderie, where attendees enjoyed good food, music, and the opportunity to strengthen professional and personal bonds. Additionally, the draw to select the Ambassadors of K-Laser and INDIBA added a touch of excitement, with María Pons and Rosa Sanchez taking the honors.

This symposium stood out not only for its comprehensive focus on animal welfare but also for laying the groundwork for future collaborations and advances in the veterinary field. A clear testimony that the journey towards animal welfare is a shared journey by dedicated and passionate professionals.
